Kishan Reddy hindering Hyderabad Metro Expansion Project : CM Revanth
Revanth says Kishan Reddy hindering Metro project

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made sensational comments against Telangana BJP President and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, claiming that he is hindering the Hyderabad Metro expansion project from being presented to the Union Cabinet.
He asserted that Kishan Reddy is intentionally obstructing the metro's growth because he believes it could enhance the Chief Minister's reputation.
"Kishan Reddy believes that since the Metro expansion did not take place during the previous BRS administration, it should not proceed under the Congress government either. This is why he is preventing the metro expansion project from advancing in the Union Cabinet," stated Revanth Reddy.
The Chief Minister further accused Union Minister Kishan Reddy of being aligned with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, alleging that his efforts are solely focused on serving KCR's interests.
During an informal chat with media persons in New Delhi on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy stated that he raised five significant issues during his meeting with the Prime Minister, requesting support for metro expansion, a regional ring road and rail project, a dry port, and initiatives in the defense sector.
He also emphasised important points regarding defections, noting that the constitution and laws in effect from 2014 to 2024 are still applicable, and reminded that the MLAs who defected during that period were incorporated into the Cabinet.
Revanth Reddy questioned the whereabouts of the by-elections that were previously not conducted and the disqualifications that were overlooked at that time. The Chief Minister dismissed KTR's assertion that by-elections would occur, labeling it as absurd.
He further mentioned that Rajalingamurthy, who had filed a petition against Kaleshwaram, was murdered; Sanjeeva Reddy, the lawyer who represented the case, died under questionable circumstances; and KTR's business associate Kedar Dubai also passed away under suspicious conditions. Kedar is a primary suspect in the Radisson Blu drug case.
"Why hasn't KTR responded to these suspicious deaths? Why hasn't he sought a judicial inquiry," Revanth Reddy questioned.
"I will not say anything right now until technical reports are received on the irregularities in projects including Kaleshwaram. Who is responsible for bringing back those who are abroad in the phone tapping case? The drug case is going to be heard soon," he disclosed.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the SLBC construction had stalled for a decade because KCR did not advance the project, attributing the credit to the Congress party.
"Only after the Congress took office have the works been restarted. We are currently focused on rescuing individuals trapped in the tunnel. At present, 11 organisations are involved with the SLBC rescue operation," he remarked.
